Pause

Whether physically or mentally, pausing to rest and reset is very necessary and beneficial to all of us. Life and its challenges weigh us down. Sometimes it's our busy schedules and sometimes our minds are racing with all kinds of things. Some of us are always on the go, without even taking a break for a  minute. This then leads to us not sleeping well because our minds are still racing when our head hits the pillow.

We wouldn't want an over worked surgeon operating on us or trust an exhausted pilot to take us safely to our destinations. The clutter that's happening mentally will spill over to the physical and this causes all kinds of reaction. We're impatient with others, not pausing to listen in order to learn before we speak. Not paying attention to an  elderly person who may need assistance because we're rushing. Not pausing before responding to a message we might have misunderstood. Not pausing to listen to our kids instead of doing all the talking.  Did we even pause to thank God that we got up this morning.

We have to start emptying our minds of the clutter so that we can replenish in order to keep going. Take a break, put your feet up, relax for a while.
