Humble Beginnings

I caught a glimpse of a show recently about things women carry around in their handbags. This one lady caught my attention. She had a MetroCard in her wallet, not because she needed to use it but more as a souvenir, a reminder of her life before she became a success story.

It's easy for a young person to get frustrated these days with a minimum wage job,  especially when a lot of their peers are earning much more just by being creative and doing what they love  from their devices.

Those that are making a name for themselves on the internet, in whatever niche they have an interest in, seem to be thriving. This can cause others to get discouraged. They are out there working very hard, sometimes working overtime but their paycheck doesn't do much. Many are planning on quitting their jobs without any clear plan of what the next step is.

I overheard a young man who works in a restaurant having a conversation. He was saying that occasionally while he's at work, he would ask himself what he was still doing there doing that kind of work.  The person he was having the conversation with was older. He told him his experience on his present job could be included in his biography in the future. That it may become encouragement for a young person in a similar situation
